Resumes should be written only as .doc files because you need to adjust them for each job description. Most applicant tracking systems (ATS) can read .doc or .pdf files, so you can save your document as either format once you’re done adjusting it. I can accommodate Word or Drive. I can also provide a .pdf.

Yes, my resumes are ATS-friendly. ATS stands for Applicant Tracking System, which is a software application used by companies to manage and streamline their recruitment process. These systems help employers to filter, sort, and rank resumes based on specific keywords and criteria relevant to the job opening. An ATS-friendly resume is designed with proper formatting, clear headings, and the strategic use of keywords to ensure that it is easily parsed and understood by the tracking system. By creating ATS-friendly resumes, I maximize the chances of your resume being noticed and selected for further review, increasing your likelihood of landing an interview.

Yes, my resume and LinkedIn services include a 30-minute review call / video chat, but I recommend we do that after I review the information you give me on the onboarding form. The reason for this is that I want to look at the jobs you’re interested in, the information you provide, and then see if there are questions I need to ask to enhance how you present yourself.

First, I have you fill out a comprehensive onboarding form, and we can hop on a quick discovery call if you’d like. From there, I’ll write your first draft, and we’ll kick around revisions via email. If you prefer we discuss your changes in person, we can hop on another 30-minute call/video chat at no additional charge. We’ll work together on your document until you’re 100% satisfied (which rarely takes more than two iterations due to my process, which is informed by engagements with more than 4,800 job seekers).

I prefer to begin with two 30-minute sessions. In the first session, you’ll learn everything you need to master the three fundamental keys to successful interviewing: mindset, preparation, and strategy. You’ll learn how to approach interviews from an empathetic perspective, prepare effectively, and answer even the toughest questions with confidence using the CAR / STAR interview format. Plus, with tips on what to wear, how to negotiate your salary, and more, you’ll have all the tools you need to ace your next interview. The second practice session is a mock interview for the job description of your choice. This program includes two 1:1s, an eBook, a podcast, videos, and activities. Once we lay the groundwork, I’m here to help with additional practice sessions before big interviews (even if you have to schedule at the last minute).
